Barbara Schmidt, founder and principal of studiobstyle, is nationally known for her expressive and sophisticated interiors and editorial features. Barbara lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband, and four rescue critters. She also keeps an apartment in Brooklyn, New York for project work on the east coast. Fashion, food and travel have been, and will continue to be, other areas of her creative enjoyment. An avid steward of their land near Lake Minnetonka, Barbara’s weekends are often filled with gardening and forestry.

Steve is a brilliant digital strategist and the founder of Alba Strategy, a firm focusing on digital transformation and customer engagement with B2B/B2C companies. Working with complex online models, his expertise also lies in website/ecommerce development, media planning and execution, social strategy, and digital ecosystem development.

Steve was the mastermind behind studiobstyle’s co-op digital project “birdseye style” that garnered incredible reach and success for our clients. He consults on several of our client’s digital marketing efforts including those in the shelter industry and high tech audio manufacturing.

As the Director of Digital Strategy with JWT, Steve managed the North American digital team on accounts including Ford Motor Co., Cadbury Adams and AT&T. He is also the past president of the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association and the American Advertising Federation of Minnesota and a frequent guest speaker at universities and conferences. Recently Steve has coordinated the local Addy's competition for the AAF.

KRISTEN HASLER
Kristen is a design director with over 12 years of in-house/agency experience. She combines over five years of managerial experience with senior-level creative skills on lifestyle, interior, fashion, CPG and financial brands, with expertise in e-commerce, photography art direction, branding and digital concepting/design.

Her career began at OLSON in Minneapolis as an associate designer, progressing to digital director within five and a half years. She primarily worked on Target while there, cutting her teeth as a designer on a wide variety of digital projects within their fashion, home and beauty categories. Eventually she progressed to art director within the home category and then to digital director, overseeing a team of nine designers, copywriters and art directors dedicated to Target.com.

She relocated to the West Coast in 2014 after a lifetime of enduring Minnesota winters. Now located in Los Angeles, she’s accumulated experience both in-house and on the agency side, freelance and full-time, at companies ranging from small agencies to cutting-edge lifestyle brands.
